Vessti
Challenge
Vessti approached CRISPx for branding with the initial concept — mobile app that would act as a marketplace to connect individuals with alternative investment opportunities. As the app got closer to launching in the Apple Store, Vessti contracted CRISPx to conduct pre-launch user testing and provide UX + UI recommendations in collaboration with the app’s development firm, ThinkLogic.
Solution
Branding: The CRISPx team brainstormed potential names that were in line with the founder’s vision for the app and researched trademark options. The CRISPx design team also came up with the logo and defined the v1.0 and v2.0 style guides.
UX + UI: The CRISPx team conducted remote user testing on the mobile app and provided recommended changes and content additions for the mobile app and the website to the Vessti team. The website v2.0 was also redesigned by the CRISPx team to match the revised style guide.
Individual Contribution
As part of the CRISPx design team / Visual Designer:
Branding: I conducted market research on competitor logos + colors to present to the client and created the initial version of the style guides in InDesign. The Vessti logo icon was created by CRISPx Creative Director, Francois Matus, while I was responsible for the logotype.
UX + UI: I created user personas to represent the app’s target demographics and recruited participants for user testing based on the personas. I set up the UserTesting.com app testing and presented my findings and recommendations for an improved app experience based on the real user tests. My work included modifying existing or creating new UI screens in Sketch.
